Ninety-six percent of Academy School District 20 schools were rated High or Excellent on the state School Accountability Reports released Dec. 6, 2005. Rankings are based on the Colorado Student Assessment Program tests that are administered in the spring of each school year. That is the highest percentage of High or Excellent schools in any district when compared to districts of more than 6,000 students (Boulder, Cherry Creek, District 11, Jefferson County, Douglas County, Littleton or Poudre.)
There were 11 schools with Excellent ratings, 16 school rated High and one school rated Average. Air Academy High School, Rampart High School and the high school level of The Classical Academy scored in the top 10 percent of the 354 high schools in Colorado.
Challenger Middle School, Eagleview Middle School, Mountain Ridge Middle School, and the middle school level of The Classical Academy scored in the top 10 percent of the 449 middle schools in the state.
Academy International Elementary School, Explorer Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School and Rockrimmon Elementary School scored in the top 10 percent of the 978 elementary schools in the state. Academy International received an Excellent rating for the fifth consecutive year.
